In the Pithos laundry basket, we set out to push the limits of what can be produced from a single piece of leather, revealing the true character and beauty of the leather. The leather is cut, polished, laced and stitched by hand around a stitched leather base for lightweight support. A perfectly machined solid cork lid neatly fits into the top, tapered to match the body. Cork’s warmth and character enhance the natural idiosyncrasies of the leather, while its breathability and water resistant qualities are perfect for a laundry basket. The handle is made from hand turned plane timber, ergonomically shaped to fit the hand.
